Grant Writing Resources

The Laney Graduate School’s Office of Professional Development and Career Planning encourages graduate students to seek and to apply for external funding opportunities. This is important for the students’ professional development as well as their own research needs. We have compiled resources (below) to help you navigate the process and explore examples of proposals that have been funded.

If you are interested in pursuing a Fulbright, please be sure to visit our Fulbright page for more information on Laney Graduate School's Fulbright application process.

Grant Writing Webinars

[Please visit the Graduate School’s Trumba calendar or this webpage periodically to see updates about webinars pertaining to specific grants or funding opportunities.]

Emory Writing Center

The Emory Writing Center also encourages graduate students to make appointments for grant writing. They are eager to work with students at all stages of the composition process. They offer discussion- and workshop- based tutorials for individuals and groups that enable writers to approach their work with fresh eyes and to consider a variety of strategies for writing, revising, and editing.
