Pathways Beyond the Professoriate PBP connects students with distinguished alumni who have chosen career paths outside of the academy. This month's topic is Careers for PhDs in Higher Education Administration.
In the PBP series, alumni from a variety of fields return to Emory to network with our students and discuss their career paths and the unique ways that they have used their Masters or PhD degrees to identify positions that current students may never have considered. They discuss the skills they developed during their time as graduate students and how use of those skills has translated into professional success.
All students are welcome to attend these events.
3MT (Three-Minute Thesis) Informational Presentation This is an informational session about 3MT. If you're interested in competing in the Spring, or interested at all, come by and learn more. Lauren Edwards, the 2019 winner, will be in attendance to speak about her experience.
Benefits of participation include sharing your work and its impact with a wider audience, refining your presentation skills, taking part in a growing university trend (3MTs are now held at over 600 universities in 60 countries), a video of your presentation (for our finalists), and potentially becoming “Emory’s 2020 3MT winner.”
