New! CFDE and Emory Libraries Webinar: “Open Educational Resources (OER): Introduction, Discovery, and Discussion.” The Center for Faculty Development and Excellence (CFDE) is partnering with Emory Libraries to offer a webinar entitled, “Open Educational Resources (OER): Introduction, Discovery, and Discussion.” This webinar will include a basic introduction to OER and a panel discussion featuring Emory faculty currently using OER along with opportunities for Q&A. It will be co-led by Director of CFDE Eric Weeks and Head of Scholarly Communications Office Jody Bailey.
All graduate students are welcome to register and attend. Those with teaching assignments in Fall 2020 are especially encouraged. Kravis Women in Science Endeavor (WiSE) Symposium The inaugural Kravis Women in Science Endeavor (WiSE) Symposium is hosted virtually by Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) and will feature free lectures by leading biomedical scientists. Kravis WiSE is a new initiative aimed at supporting female scientists and promoting gender equity at MSK and beyond.

New! Library Appointments Available to Faculty and Graduate Students Emory Libraries are available to support your research needs. For those not approved to return to campus or with limited access, the libraries will provide access to resources electronically. Whenever possible, some requests for physical materials can be accommodated.
Please submit any requests from the physical collections through discoverE. Log in with your EmoryID and follow the instructions. If a digital alternative is not possible, library staff will work with you to get a physical copy and coordinate pick up times.

CIRTL Summer Offerings CIRTL (Center for the Integration of Research, Teaching and Learning) will be running courses, a MOOC, teaching institutes , and online teaching office hours this summer, each designed to dig into specific aspects of inclusive, effective, evidence-based STEM pedagogy.
Libraries & Information Technology Services: Canvas 1-2-3 Beginning June 1, LITS will offer several Canvas workshops. Topics include: Canvas Essentials, Grading and Assignments, Student Activity, Canvas Studio, Quizzing, Analytics.
