Emory Explores: Violence Against LGBT+ Community and Individuals The civil unrest following the murders of individuals at the hands of police has shined a light on the abuse and violence experienced by the transgender community. Join the Emory Alumni Association for an in-depth conversation on the violence experienced by the transgender community.

Kravis Women in Science Endeavor (WiSE) Symposium The inaugural Kravis Women in Science Endeavor (WiSE) Symposium is hosted virtually by Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) and will feature free lectures by leading biomedical scientists. Kravis WiSE is a new initiative aimed at supporting female scientists and promoting gender equity at MSK and beyond.

Transitioning In-Person Networking Skills Online During this virtual workshop, you will practice strategies to help you transition your networking skills to various online scenarios. You will compose and rehearse various ‘conversations’ in which you clearly, effectively and persuasively talk about your work and your skills with confidence and enthusiasm.
Technical Writing Bootcamp This workshop covers key topics in technical writing such as reporting on central tendencies and analysis of data, designing and communicating the design of research studies, translating technical information for different audiences, data visualization and how to think with visuals, preparing different types of research and planning documents, and the basics of scientific storytelling and is intended for graduate students at Emory University who are interested in learning new technical writing skills and serving as Teaching Assistants for the QTM Technical Writing Class.
Data Incubator Fall 2020 Data Science Fellowship Application The Data Incubator is an intensive eight-week fellowship that prepares masters and doctoral students, and postdocs in STEM and social science fields for industry careers as data scientists.

The Emory Writing Center The Emory Writing Center is open for the summer.
Remote Teaching Resources LGS teaching assistants and teaching associates may attend webinars and utilize resources for teaching in remote environments listed below. Emory Remote Teaching Resources CIRTL Summer Offerings CIRTL (Center for the Integration of Research, Teaching and Learning) will be running courses, a MOOC, teaching institutes, and online teaching office hours this summer, each designed to dig into specific aspects of inclusive, effective, evidence-based STEM pedagogy.
Libraries & Information Technology Services: Canvas 1-2-3 Beginning June 1, LITS will offer several Canvas workshops. Topics include: Canvas Essentials, Grading and Assignments, Student Activity, Canvas Studio, Quizzing, Analytics.
