US DOE - Office of Science Graduate Student Research The U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Science has extended its application deadline for the Office of Science Graduate Student Research (SCGSR) program 2020 Solicitation 1. The SCGSR program provides doctoral dissertation/thesis research opportunities for graduate students at DOE national laboratories.
Postdoctoral Training Opportunity in Informatics, Genomics, Machine Learning, and Biomedical Data Science at Boston Children’s Hospital / Harvard Medical School
The Computational Health Informatics Program (CHIP) at Boston Children’s Hospital hosts a training program for postdoctoral fellows to be trained in Informatics, Genomics, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Biomedical Data Science. Applications are open and admission is available on a rolling basis. Biorender Science Graphic Contest BioRender -- an online app designed to create scientific presentations-- is hosting a graphical abstract contest. Participants who submit their best figures, created through BioRender, are eligible to win prizes valued up to $50k.
Beyond the Professoriate LinkedIn Group Beyond the Professoriate,” an organization dedicated to empowering PhDs to pursue impactful careers, is launching a new community space on LinkedIn Groups, free for any graduate student or PhD to join. The group will share helpful information around job searches, resources and articles for discussion, and unique Beyond the Professoriate content.
Remote Teaching Resources LGS teaching assistants and teaching associates may attend webinars and utilize resources for teaching in remote environments listed below. Recordings of past webinars from the Center for Faculty Development and Excellence are accessible on the remote teaching website.
CIRTL will be running courses, a MOOC, teaching institutes , and online teaching office hours this summer, each designed to dig into specific aspects of inclusive, effective, evidence-based STEM pedagogy. Comments? Questions? Contact the help desk at info@cirtl.net.
