Informational Session on AAAS CASE Workshop Curious about the AAAS CASE Workshop in March? Emory will be sponsoring two students to attend the 2020 CASE Workshop, taking place March 29 - April 1, 2020 in Washington, DC. The AAAS CASE Workshop is an entry-level program organized to educate STEM students who are interested in learning about the role of science in policy-making, to introduce them to the federal policy-making process, and to empower them with ways to become a voice for basic research throughout their careers.
Want to hear from last year's attendees? Come to this informal informational session! Guest speakers include Alynda Wood, Gokul Raghunath (our two student contest winners from last year), and Jessica Davis, Emory's Director of Federal Affairs in Government and Community Affairs.
Light refreshments will be provided.
3MT (Three-Minute Thesis) Informational Presentation If you are interested in competing in the Spring, or learning more about 3MT, please attend the upcoming informational session. Lauren Edwards, the 2019 winner, will be in attendance to speak about her experience.
Benefits of participation include sharing your work and its impact with a wider audience, refining your presentation skills, taking part in a growing university trend (3MTs are now held at over 600 universities in 60 countries), a video of your presentation (for our finalists), and potentially becoming “Emory’s 2020 3MT winner.”
