New! Georgia CTSA Team Science Skill Series: Developing Trust and Psychological Safety The Georgia CTSA Team Science Skill Series is being held to offer workshops that aim to develop the skills necessary to build and maintain your research team by leveraging research on existing teams.
At the end of this session, participants will be able to:

Scientists Teaching Science Online Course The Laney Graduate School, in partnership with the Office of Postdoctoral Education, will offer a nine-week online, asynchronous course titled, “Scientists Teaching Science,” from STEM Education Solutions. A limited number of graduate students selected by a lottery system will be able to access this course at a discounted rate.

Emory Continuing Education: Free non-credit courses for LGS students
Emory Continuing Education (ECE) will offer free non-credit courses for current Laney Graduate School students and postdocs during the upcoming winter break. The courses cover various subjects, including Academic Skills, Innovation & Creativity, Professional Skills, and tools for personal development.
Teaching Assistant Needed: Introduction to African American Studies African American Studies (AAS) seeks a reliable, energetic, and self-motivated humanities or social sciences doctoral student as a Teaching Assistant for Introduction to African American Studies. Some knowledge of African American Studies is preferred but not required. Applicants must have at least one year of completed coursework.

2021 Field Scholars Awards Program The Emory Global Health Institute funds multidisciplinary student teams to conduct global learning projects in partnership with organizations in other countries. Emory undergraduate and graduate students from each of the University’s nine schools are eligible to apply. Field Scholars are awarded $3,000 to conduct their projects. Faculty interested in forming a Field Scholars team can contact Rebecca Baggett at rbagget@emory.edu for more information.
Grant Writing Coaching-Spring 2021 (Humanities and Social Sciences) LGS is offering grant writing coaching to students in the humanities and social sciences who are preparing grant and fellowship applications. Students selected for this opportunity will receive one-on-one mentorship and feedback on their grant proposals from Dr. Corinne Kratz, Distinguished Professor of Anthropology and African Studies Emerita, a founder and long-time director of the Grant Writing Program.
LinkedIn: The Missing Manual The LGS Office of Professional Development and Career Planning is pleased to announce our Emory license to the online course LinkedIn: The Missing Manual. LGS partnered with the Office of Postdoctoral Education to purchase a one-year institutional subscription to a complete, step-by-step online course on mastering LinkedIn.
