International Students are Often Targeted with Spam
Emory’s Office of International Students and Scholars provides this advice:
1. Don't rush: Scammers create urgency and demand immediate action. Take your time; legitimate companies won't pressure you via email or text. 2. Protect your info: Never share personal details like SSN or bank info. 3. Question everything: If it seems suspicious, ask for guidance from your ISSS advisor or campus police. 4. Learn more at this link: Protect yourself from scams.
