Online Information Sessions for the Emory Advanced Graduate Teaching Fellowship (AGTF) for the 2020-2021 Academic Year The Emory Advanced Graduate Teaching Fellowship (AGTF) is a 10-month fellowship program co-led by a small group of faculty with complementary expertise in the areas of pedagogical innovation, curricular reform, evidenced based-teaching practices, and active learning. The program provides a training framework in the form of an end-of-summer STEM teaching workshop and a newly designed, interdisciplinary one credit-hour pedagogical seminar course. Graduate Fellows will use the spring semester to develop and implement a small but novel pedagogical project relevant to their specific discipline. Information Session: Careers in Technology Transfer & Internship Program in Emory's Office of Technology Transfer (OTT) Are you interested in careers outside of traditional academic research? Emory’s Office of Technology Transfer is recruiting interns for their 2020-2021 cohort. Technology transfer is the process of commercializing academic research through industry partners and university startups. Interns will gain exposure to intellectual property law, business development, and entrepreneurship through hands-on projects and mentorship from licensing and patent professionals. At this information session, Licensing Associate and former intern John Nicosia, PhD, will share his experience transitioning from research to tech transfer, and give details on the internship program.
Remote Teaching Resources LGS teaching assistants and teaching associates may attend webinars and utilize resources for teaching in remote environments listed below. CIRTL Summer Offerings CIRTL (Center for the Integration of Research, Teaching and Learning) will be running courses, a MOOC, teaching institutes , and online teaching office hours this summer, each designed to dig into specific aspects of inclusive, effective, evidence-based STEM pedagogy.
Libraries & Information Technology Services: Canvas 1-2-3 Beginning June 1, LITS will offer several Canvas workshops. Topics include: Canvas Essentials, Grading and Assignments, Student Activity, Canvas Studio, Quizzing, Analytics.
