Submit Nominations for the 2022 M.L. Brittain Award by Feb. 18
The Marion Luther Brittain Award 2021-2022 nomination process is open. The award, the highest given to Emory students, honors meritorious service to the university community. Each year, two students are recognized, one graduate and one undergraduate. All fall 2021 and spring 2022 graduates are eligible for this year’s honor.
The award is presented under provisions of a gift by the late Dr. M. L. Brittain, an Emory alumnus and the former president of the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Fall 2021 Dissertation Boot Camp
Emory Libraries and the Emory Writing Center invite you to work on your dissertations while joining others for some structured writing time and shared accountability. Each session will have breaks and time for reflection built in, and we will switch between free writing, "pomodoro" sessions, and partnering up to discuss our writing. This event will be hybrid. Those willing can meet in-person in the Woodruff Library Jones Room, while others who prefer to meet virtually can do so via Zoom. We will also ensure our breaks allow time for people to leave, have a snack/coffee, and come back.

Want to find out what human-centered design is all about? Curious about how to use design thinking? Looking to make your work more collaborative, visual, and fun? Want to learn how to apply this method in industry from industry experts? If you answered YES to any of the above, this workshop is for you! In this design thinking crash course, you'll learn about the background and value of Human-Centered Design, dive into applying 3-5 design thinking methods, and leave with tactical knowledge on how to weave innovation into your day to day. The workshop will take place in-person at The Hatchery, Emory Center for Innovation.

Grants may be used to support activities related to well-structured community-engaged experiences in courses or academic programs. Emory Helpline offers peer-run telephone support nightly from 8:30 p.m. - 1 a.m. during the academic year. Students may call the Helpline at (404) 727-4357 (HELP) for non-urgent support. The line is typically closed for all major student holidays. This year, the line will close for this semester on Nov. 23.
